Team Lead Buying & Supply Chain Management

An efficient, modern, IT-based purchasing function is an essential and strategic backbone within any organisation. Our procurement approach is driven by three key pillars: supply security, quality, and price – in this order. The Operational Purchasing team’s mission is to secure products of the necessary quality, at the optimal cost, at the right time. Achieving this requires continuous optimisation of processes and systems, communication with global suppliers, and working in partnership with internal stakeholders.

If so, we are looking to grow our team of full and part-time purchasing specialists to ensure OTIF supplies from around the world, and want to hear from you.

We’d like you to have some experience in operational purchasing and in IT implementation (as a user or project manager), as well as fluency in English and German – if you are proficient in another language, that would be a plus. We need you to "wow" us with your innate curiosity, passion for excellence, and drive to create new ways of working.

In this versatile leadership position, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage the operational purchasing activities such as coordination, communication, processes and systems
  • Assure purchasing transactions are flowing efficient and effectively (requisition/disposition, purchase orders, invoices and end-to-end activities)
  • Ensure mid-term raw material planning, quality requirements and complaint management
  • Create and prepare various purchasing reporting
  • Coordinate different strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead a small team

For this you convince with the following skills:

  • Education to at least the equivalent of apprenticeship in industrial business management [e.g. EFZ Kauffrau/-mann in Switzerland, Industriekauffrau/-mann in Germany/Austria or formation d'agent technico-commercial in France]. A higher education/study programme will be an advantage
  • ERP and end-to-end process experience
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in purchasing, customer service or a supply chain management functions
  • Experience with system implementations and a minimum of 2 years of management experience is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team, as well as enjoying to work independently, and in a structured manner
  • Being open to new methods and processes to support further transformation of the purchasing function
  • Fluent in English and German (verbal and written)
  • A clean criminal record
  • Applicants with Swiss residency permit or EU citizenship will be preferred
